The 11th OFweek2014 LED Summit and the OFweek LED Awards 2014 Awards Ceremony were held in Shenzhen on Nov. 20. Dr. Wang Jiangbo, Vice President of HC Semitek, was invited to give a report at the meeting. At the awards ceremony, HC Semitek was presented the Best LED Light Source Chip Technology Innovation Award. It is noteworthy that HC Semitek is the only Chinese company that won this award.
At the meeting, Dr. Wang delivered a report entitled “Flip Chip Technology Research and Outlook”, analyzed the current market status and technology development of flip chips, and discussed “flip chips”, “package-free” and “filament lamps” with industry insiders. Dr. Wang stated that “HC Semitek specializes in making chips.” Flip-chips are chiefly used in super-drives and high integration, etc. At present, the company’s flip-chip yield makes possible mass-production of the product.
HC Semitek was presented the Best LED Light Source Chip Technology Innovation Award for its “Yao” serial flip-chips – the only Chinese company that won this award.
