CHINA SSL 2014 was held at The Westin Pazhou from Nov. 6 to 8. Dr. Wang Jiangbo, Vice President of HC Semitek, was invited to give a speech at the chip session. During the conference, HC Semitek unveiled “Yao” serial LED flip-chips which were extensively praised in the industry.
At the meeting, Dr. Wang delivered a technical report entitled “Key Technology Development for High Efficiency LED as a Revolutionary Lighting Source” to analyze the current research focus and challenges of GaN-based LEDs, and introduced HC Semitek’s research progress in leading-edge chip technology. He analyzed two chip-level solutions: high-voltage chip for cutting the cost of LED lighting system, and flip-chip solution for boosting LED super-drive.
It is noteworthy that HC Semitek has performed detailed research on the process of LED flip-chips, and consistently improved the epitaxial wafer and chip process technology. The mass-produced flip-chip products boast leading technology in China. HC Semitek has offered the most comprehensive flip-chip solutions in cooperation with customers, including high-power high-reliability flip-chip solution and medium-power and low-cost flip-chip solution. The two solutions are well received at the client side.
HC Semitek was rated as “Excellent Member” of the Alliance at the China Solid State Lighting Alliance Member Conference held concurrently.
