OFweek LED Awards 2013, held by OFweek, concluded on Nov. 15. Under the principles of “fairness, equity, and openness”, the organizer selected 29 award-winning LED companies and individuals for 8 awards this year.
HC Semitek won the “Best LED Chip Technology Innovation Award” for its high-voltage chip products.
The high-voltage LED chips for this review chiefly feature technical innovations of grooves, insulation layers, and interconnecting wires between chips. This ensures that the drive current required for chip products is far lower than the low-voltage LED under the same output power. At the same time, it can also greatly cut the AC-DC conversion efficiency loss, resulting in effective reduction in the cost and weight of LED lighting lamps. More importantly, this technological innovation significantly lowers the design requirements for the cooling system, removing the biggest technical obstacle for the use of LED lighting lamps in the indoor lighting market.
HC Semitek has produced 9V, 12V, and 18V serial high-voltage LED products; 12V high voltage LED has a luminous efficiency of ≥140lm/W under the drive current of 20mA.
