The “Thirteenth National LED Industry Development and Technology Seminar” was held in Wuhan from Nov. 1 to 2. Dr. Wang Jiangbo, assistant to the President and R&D manager of HC Semitek, was awarded the title of “Outstanding Science and Technology Talent in China’s LED Sector 2011-2012”.
In keeping with the working idea of “continuous innovation through leading technology R&D capabilities and mature production processes”, Dr. Wang launched many industry-leading key LED technology R&D projects including “R&D of high luminous efficiency white LEDs”, “key technology development project for backlight LED chips”, “high power GaN-based LED quantum efficiency improvement technology research” and has applied for 16 patents for invention and 2 utility model patents, making key contributions to the technological innovation of HC Semitek.
The selection event was jointly organized by the Optoelectronics Device Branch of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association and China Electronics News Agency. Through personal application, recommendation by organizations and institutions, online voting and expert evaluation, 12 winners were selected for China LED industry outstanding entrepreneurs and outstanding technological talents 2011-2012, respectively. Nearly 300 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from the optoelectronics sector all over the country attended the conference.
