The Wuhan Catalog of Independent Innovation Products in 2010 was promulgated recently after rigorous review by Wuhan Department of Science and Technology, Development and Reform Commission, and the Bureau of Finance, and Wuhan independent innovation product certification certificates were issued to 90 independent products by 77 companies listed in the Catalog. HC Semitek semiconductor LED chip was included in the list of the first independent innovation products, with the certificate number of WH2010007.
The annual selection of independent innovation products and the formulation of catalog of independent innovation products are an important move for Wuhan to build an innovation-oriented new city and encourage enterprises to perform independent innovation and gain independent intellectual property rights. It is reported that products listed in the Catalog will have priority for inclusion in the 2010 Wuhan Key Independent Innovation Product Plan, and are prioritized for financial capital purchases including government procurement and procurement for major projects, and receive key support in the certification of high-tech enterprise, policies on promoting application of scientific and technological achievements and industrialization, and so on.
