The “2010 National LED Display Application Technology Exchange and Industrial Development Seminar” sponsored by China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association (COEMA) LED Display Application Branch and co-organized by HC Semitek and Shenzhen Unilumin was held in Wuhan from May 29 to 31. As an important bi-annual academic conference of COEMA LED Display Application Branch, nearly 300 elites from the LED industry in China engaged in exchanges and discussions on LED display application technology and industrial development.
Mr. Guan Jizhen, vice chairman of COEMA and chairman of the LED Display Application Branch, chaired the opening ceremony. Ms. Wang Lin, secretary general of COEMA, attended the meeting on behalf of COEMA and delivered an opening speech. Mr. Xia Yamin, deputy director of the host Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, delivered a welcome speech.
During the three-day conference of speeches and exchanges, over 60 papers were submitted and 28 on-site exchange reports were delivered. From the perspective of the industry, Chairman Guan Jizhen systematically analyzed the developments of LED display application sector in China. Dr. Liu Rong, president of HC Semitek, was invited to deliver a report on the theme of “Development history and outlook of blue and green LED chip technology” at the meeting, explaining the development course of blue and green LED chips in the past 20 years and the future trend. Dr. Liu was warmly welcomed and praised by the participants.
Participants paid a special trip to HC Semitek for inspection and learned about the planning, epitaxial wafer, equipment and production lines of HC Semitek.
