The unveiling ceremony of HC Semitek Semiconductor New Materials and Device Institute was held at Keyan Building of HC Semitek Limited, Zhejiang at 10 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2018. The announcement of the institute marks another milestone for the innovative development of HC Semitek. Zhou Fuyun, Chairman of HC Semitek Limited, Zhejiang, and Mr. Zhu Weisong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Yiwu People’s Congress and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yiwu Information Optoelectronics High-tech Zone, inaugurated the establishment of the institute.

Dr. Wang Jiangbo, Vice President of HC Semitek Corporation and President of HC Semitek Semiconductor New Materials and Device Institute, introduced the research institute at the ceremony. This institute aims to gather the company’s scientific and technological innovation resources. Relying on corporate R&D resources, it brings together outstanding R&D talents in the new semiconductor materials and device field, and integrates the R&D resources of universities, research institutes and industrial clusters in Yiwu. It is committed to the introduction, absorption and independent R&D of generic technologies, key technologies and forward-looking technologies of the semiconductor materials and device industry. At the same time, it harnesses the research achievements in common technology, key technology and forward-looking technology to provide engineering technology R&D for industrialization and results matchmaking, and lead the incubation of emerging industries.
At the unveiling ceremony, Dr. Liu Rong, President of HC Semitek Corporation, put forth the requirements of “professionalism, openness, and time efficiency”, and made clear the goals of HC Semitek Institute. In keeping with the requirements of craftsmanship, pragmatism and innovation, it will contribute to the new semiconductor materials and device industry, provide the core technical support for industrial development, boost the ability of independent innovation, lead the industrial upgrade, carry out technological innovation, and bolster the overall competitiveness of the industry.
